Performed a deep dive into design theory--studying design processes, problem definition, human-focused design philosophies, engineering design ethnography, surveys and usability tests, interviews and focus groups, data synthesis, concept generation, ideation tools and strategies, and design representations such as sketching, prototyping, and storyboarding. All theory kept iteration and design ethnography at its core.
Conducted stakeholder interviews and created a campus-wide survey to better focus my problem definition and synthesize user data into trends that I could use for concept generation
Developed concepts using theory such as morphological analysis, analogical thinking, and the Design Heuristics cards co-developed by Prof. Daly to iterate through concepts before landing at a final design
