Wireless Obstacle Traversing Vehicle
ME250 Design and Manufacturing
Project Manager

Project manager of a team of five focused on creating a vehicle capable of traversing difficult terrain while simultaneously scoring small "M" blocks (shown in green) into baskets scattered around the playing field in order to score the most points possible in the allotted time. We were responsible for all stages of development: from initial strategy decision to figure out what the best approach was to score blocks based upon the different terrain types, to creating a fully flexible Solidworks assembly that takes into account acceptable tolerances and manufacturing error, to finally manufacturing all necessary parts using mills, lathes, laser cutting, and additive manufacturing to finally produce an assembled robot ready to compete.

Our vehicle scored the highest amount of points in our section during the final major-wide symposium where all of the lab sections competed against each other at the end of the semester.
